How do I set up my page layout to print on Avery forms (multiple labels per page)? |

The following instructions will guide you through setting up Avery or Avery-equivalent forms on most laser printers. The instructions are the same for thermal/transfer printers except that the page margins should be set to 0 for first print test and adjusted only if needed.
- Select the File menu, and choose Label Properties. Click on the Page Size tab.
- If using an Avery or Avery-equivalent form, click on the Form box to select from the commonly used forms available. If your form is listed, click OK to finish your setup. If your form number is not listed, please proceed with the page layout instructions.
- Enter the height and width of your form (usually 8.5x11-inches) as appropriate. Depending on the layout of your form, some sheets require an additional .25-inches for height and width. Measure your exact form and adjust these instructions as necessary. You may need to test print your forms to verify the exact settings.
- Select the Margins tab. Enter the margins based on your stock. Most laser printers have an unprintable area of .25- inches on all sides. If you set the margin to less than that, you may see a warning. Disregard to test and adjust as needed.
- Select the Multiple tab and count the number of labels across and down. For example, Avery form 5160 has 3 labels across and 10 labels down, so you would enter those value for the Across and Down settings.
- Measure the size of one label and enter those measurements in the Width and Height fields. NOTE: these are only the dimensions for one label, not the entire page.
- Click OK. Test print. If the labels are not centered, adjust the margin settings.
