Why do I get the messages “Printer Not Ready” and/or “Printer Not Connected Properly” when I try to print? |

The printer setup options in LABEL MATRIX must match those of the printer. The most common reason for these messages is that the cable is not attached to the correct printer port on the back of the computer. Another possibility is that some serial printers require a null modem attached to the cable. To find out if your printer requires a null modem, refer to your printer manual. Another possibility may be that Windows is detecting another device (such as a mouse or a modem) connected to the port. You may need to free up that port in order for Windows to recognize your printer. |
