Why am I getting "License not found" and "Access violation" errors in Windows NT/2000/XP?
If you receive license or access violation errors on Windows NT\2000\XP it may be caused by security setting restrictions on the user which will limit LABEL MATRIX from reading\writing\or deleting to files. Please sign on the PC as an Administrator and then set the proper security settings as required below.

Set the following to Read\Write for all users:
  • LMW32 directory
  • WinNT\lmw32.ini file only
  • directories containing any database files, or Label Design files (.qdf)
  • LMW user typically require read\write permissions (some require Modify permissions if needing to delete files when using Auto Print).

When installing the program on the NT or 2000 machine did you select the Files to be installed for 'all users' ?

Also check the security restrictions for the user that is logged in, they need to be setup with Read\Write\Modify permissions.

The LABEL MATRIX directory (LMW32), WinNT directory and any directories holding the .qdf (label design files), and database files all need to be setup with Full Permissions\Full Control for all LABEL MATRIX users.
